Streetworks is a mailer event program for a mural convention in Fort Wayne, Indiana focusing on street art. I used elements of mural designs, including type and shapes, to visually convey the idea of murals. With this event program, I intend to draw attention to the affect murals have on the local economy. I came up with the idea for a mural convention as a challenge. I wanted to try to plan a convention about art that cannot be moved or displayed elsewhere and that lacks the surrounding context of its environment in photographs. I designed this mailer for mural artists and property owners who are looking for artists to design murals for them. A convention for street artists could allow upcoming mural artists to network or get commissions.
